'Oh, Deer!' Woman butchers deer in middle of N.C. nail salon

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WSET) -- Oh deer!

A photo from a nail salon is going viral, but you would probably never guess why.

Morgan Taylor, a Charlottesville native studying at High Point University, was getting her nails done at Diamond NAILS this week when she said one of the nail technicians began to butcher a deer in the middle of the salon.

"Hunting for a new nail salon in High Point, North Carolina? Talk about multitaskers... manicures, pedicures, and amateur deer butchers. Oh deer!" she wrote along with the photo on Facebook.

Taylor told a local news outlet that she was shocked and reported it to the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners.

According to the board, Diamond Nails' inspection grade is a 96.

Meanwhile, the review section of the salon's Facebook page has been cluttered with people commenting about the now viral photo.

"I can not believe that you think its okay to have dead animals in the salon that is nasty," one person wrote.

"It is unprofessional to butcher animals during business hours on salon floor, in front of customers," another person wrote.

The board didn't respond to a request for comment about the incident, but according to its website, salons can be fined up to $1,000 for complaints.
