OCEAN CITY, Md. (SBG) — If you're pining for the old days and craving a night out with friends, one Maryland bar can give you just that... with a twist.

Get ready for bumper tables: a fun new way to meet up for future happy hours and still be socially distant after the coronavirus pandemic.

While it's not a thing at every public establishment, at Fish Tales Pub in Ocean City, Maryland, it'll be a way of life once bars and restaurants are allowed to reopen.

The idea comes from Revolution Event Design and Production in Baltimore. The custom-made tables come with an inner tube and wheels; guaranteed to keep customers six feet away from each other.

How it works is pretty simple: stand in the middle and walk around, all while maintaining a safe distance from other people.

The patent-pending idea is available for rent or purchase, according to the website.

If you're interested in using the tables at a business of your own, they can be "customized with company logos or event graphics." They even come with cupholders for drinks.
